December Notes
Hi December, you’re here quicker than my last Amazon order. To celebrate, I’ve written a poem to kick things off—though who knows how this month will go. Last year, you gave me the flu, so here’s hoping for less drama and more seasonal lattes this time around.
December drifts in, soft and sly,
Frost tracing secrets on windows nearby.
The air smells of pine, cookies, and chill,
A mix of chaos and magic—December's thrill.
Scarves wrap tight, laughter spills wide,
Ugly sweaters and holiday pride.
Candles flicker, mugs warm hands,
Time slows down, as the world expands.
It’s messy and merry, a beautiful spree,
Lights on the tree and crumbs on your knee.
A month full of stories, laughter, and cheer,
The sweetest finale to crown the year.
